The staff at Jenkins Independent School District have been working hard to create a way to celebrate those students that are participating in virtual learning! We would like to focus on those students that are completing all components of the virtual learning model for our classes. We want to “spotlight” students for completing all assignments in a timely manner! Students that complete their work within the week, will have their name placed into a drawing for a prize that will be given away on the following Monday!

Due to the high incident rate in the county and our current incident rate locally, Jenkins Independent will continue with virtual instruction next week. There will be no school or assignments posted on Monday, January 18th due to a federal holiday. It is our goal to return to hybrid instruction with an in-person option for families who desire it as soon as possible.

If any student would like to take the ACT on Saturday, February 6, 2021 here at school, please contact Mrs. Meade before Friday, January 8th so she can help get you registered. Friday is the deadline to register without paying late fees.

Please drive up, stay in your vehicle, and wear a mask and food service staff will bring it to your vehicle. You will be able to pick up breakfast and lunch for multiple days

If you didn't have a chance to stop by and pick up your Christmas goody bags and cards yesterday here at school, please stop by today or tomorrow until 4pm and pick them up. Don't forget that we'll be having our Christmas backpack give-a-way, sponsored by God's Love From a Diaper Bag and the South Carolina Baptist Association, on Monday, December 14th from 1-3pm at the middle high school. This is for students in grades 6-12 and will be a drive-through event with all social distancing guidelines in place. We will deliver the backpack to your vehicle. Our staff would like to wish all of our students and families a very Merry Christmas and will be giving out Christmas cards and goodie bags, as well. Please come by and see us.

The Jenkins Independent Schools would like to address parent and student concerns about attendance. We know attendance is not correct in infinite campus, we are working with infinite campus to resolve the issue. We have paper copies of student attendance and participation and will correct it in infinite campus as soon as they are able to update their system.
The Lunch bus will be leaving Jenkins Middle High School today at 12:00 following the regular Wednesday route. If you live behind the Union Hall please meet the bus on the main road. Deliveries in Marshals Branch will be limited to the main Marshals Branch Road only.
The Herff-Jones Company will be at school next Monday, December 7th, from 11am-6pm to take orders for any junior that wants to order a class ring. Catalogs have been mailed to your houses. Please discuss this with your parents and guardians and if you want to order a class ring or look at class rings, please let Mrs. Meade know so she can put you down for an appointment time. You can reply to the email she sent you on your school email or you can call the school to make your appointment.
