What an incredible day of learning! The students at Jenkins Middle School had an awesome time with Zoodles Animal Encounters, getting up close and personal with some truly amazing wildlife.
Our students loved meeting the animals and were completely engaged in the hands-on lessons about biology, habitats, and conservation. It was a memorable way to bring science to life right here in our gym!

We are thrilled to announce that Zoodles Animal Encounters will be visiting our school this Wednesday to educate our students about science and wildlife! Our students will get an up-close and personal experience with amazing animals while learning crucial lessons about habitats, conservation, and biology. We can't wait!
Zoodles provides this fantastic educational program to our school completely free of charge thanks to the revenue generated from their optional animal photo orders.

Burdine Families, don’t miss out on this week! It’s Family Engagement Week and we are kicking it off with Family Night from 5-7. Look at the engagement from 2nd graders in Mrs. Cantrell’s class exploring Geometry! Students used marshmallows as vertices and pretzel sticks for lines to create shapes. We are learning to recognize and draw shapes with specific attributes such as triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes through fun, hands-on exploration bringing Geometry to life!

Due to winter weather, tomorrow, Tuesday, November 11, will be an NTI Day. Student work has been provided either in packets or online. Teachers will be available to answer questions by school email or through Rooms in the JIS app.
Our goal is to keep students learning while not causing extra stress. Please use the day to stay safe and warm, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at school soon.
