🍎 Nourishing Our Community: JIS Tackles Food Security 🥫
The entire Jenkins Independent School District community is working hard to ensure our students and their families have nutritious meals both in school and at home!
In-School Support & Weekend Meals:
We are thrilled to share that JIS students are currently receiving an extra meal each day during school hours.
Furthermore, our amazing cafeteria staff is dedicated to ensuring students don't go hungry on the weekends. Today, students have the option to take home:
A shelf-stable Hormel meal.
Weekend breakfast items to help stock the pantry until Monday.
Current Food Drive Challenge!
Complementing these efforts, the JMHS Bible Club Food Drive is in full swing!
Goal: Help us reach 1,067 cans (and non-perishables) to directly support local families.
Challenge: The class that collects the most cans wins a Pizza Party!
Every can donated and every extra meal provided shows the strength and care of the Jenkins community. Thank you for your support!

This week, Jenkins Middle High School was proud to host the "On the Move" program, presented by our partners at Operation UNITE!
Our students rose to the challenge, participating in interactive sessions focused on understanding the negative factors and risks associated with drug and alcohol abuse. It was a crucial and eye-opening experience for everyone involved.

We are incredibly proud of the Jenkins High School Beta Club for their commitment to leadership, achievement, and service this year!
Our Beta members have been super active, demonstrating excellence both in the classroom and through their incredible work in the community. Their dedication truly embodies the club's motto: "Let Us Lead By Serving Others."
Show your support for these outstanding students and follow the Beta Club's activities on social media!
Go Beta! Go Cavs!
