A grant has been approved for Jenkins Independent School District from Feeding Kentucky’s No Kid Hungry Kentucky mobile meal grants. This grant is made possible in part by support from Farm Credit Mid-America and CoBank.
This grant has made it possible for an expansion of the Jenkins Independent School Summer Feeding Mobile route, which will begin June 1, 2020 and run until school starts back. This summer the big yellow school bus will be delivering meals and will leave JMHS at 11:00 and run the following routes:
Route 1 will be Jenkins – Burdine areas and will run on these dates:
June: 1, 3, 5, 9, 11, 15, 17, 19, 23, 25, 29.
July: 1, 3, 7, 9, 13, 15, 17, 21, 23, 27, 29, 31
August to be announced.
Route 2 will be Mudtown – McRoberts areas and will run on these dates:
June: 2, 4, 8, 10, 12, 16, 18, 22, 24, 26, 30
July: 2, 6, 8, 10, 14, 16, 20, 22, 24, 28, 30
August to be announced.
