Jenkins Independent Schools made history Tuesday night as the newly formed varsity soccer team secured a 3-0 victory over Buckhorn in its inaugural game. The win marks a significant milestone for the entire Jenkins School District.
Chase McNeely scored the first goal in team history, and then followed up with a second, while Roger Niles added the third, sealing the shutout.
Following the game, Coach Ethen Cummings and Athletic Director Ashley Addington shared their excitement about the team's potential and the future of the program. The atmosphere was electric, with an enthusiastic home crowd on hand.
The team has a full schedule planned for the rest of September and appreciates the community's support.
