Superintendent's Message

Welcome Back Cavs!!!! As I begin my third year here at Jenkins Ind. Schools I am so proud of the progress we have made in such a short time. The students and staff at Jenkins Ind. Schools are fantastic and I feel blessed to be here as part of the Jenkins Family. We are steadily making progress towards creating a school district that is meeting the needs of all students. We have implemented Google Chromebooks for all students at the Middle/High. We have begun the Leader in Me Curriculum which is geared to help each student achieve their very best, find the leader inside them, and to help them learn skills to be effective, successful adults. Whether your child is in the high school, middle, or elementary the skills they are learning will serve them throughout their life. Our goal is to produce students who are ready for adult life, focused on helping their community, and are gainfully employed in a career of their choosing. Society is changing rapidly and we are working hard to give our students skills that will serve them well as they transition through their educational career or into adult life. We are also looking forward to our facility upgrade which we hope to begin this spring. Our goal is to create safer school buildings, create more appealing school buildings, and to give our students and community something in which they can take pride. I want to thank you all for entrusting Jenkins Ind. Schools with your children. As a parent our greatest concern is the safety of our children and your trust in our district is greatly appreciated. We will work hard to earn and keep that trust in our schools, staff, and administration. I want to remind each of you how important your involvement is in the education of your child. Please make sure to keep up to date with how they are performing, stay in regular contact with their teachers, and to discuss their learning with them each day. Valuing education is the greatest gift you can give your child.

Thanks to all of you for your support of Jenkins Ind. Schools and our staff. Go Cavs!!!
