Counselor's Corner

“A career ready student is anyone who is preparatory in a career and technical education career major and has reached the benchmarks on WorkKeys or ASVAB and KOSSA or an industry certification.”-KDE

A student is preparatory if they’ve completed two career and technical education credits in a preparatory program and is enrolled in the third course.

Here, at JMHS, we strive to make sure every student is college and or career ready. Our goal is to prepare our students for the future.

Besides the classes we offer, the students must work on and update their Individualized Learning Plan each school year. The ILP is supposed to be a snapshot of that particular student.

We want to see our students succeed.
